In addition to sending along my notebook for everyone to write in, I also sent along fabrics and the Kona White background fabric. People were free to add their own fabrics, but I asked that they keep to tone-on-tone or single color (or color + white) fabrics.
I was thrilled when I received my nearly-finished quilt top back this past January. I wanted it to finish a little larger, so I added the navy boarder, backed it in the multi/red pezzy print that started everything, and then quilted it in cross-crossing straight diagonal lines. You can see a little bit of the quilting below. I bound the quilt in a green floral print and immediately put it on my chair in the living room!
I learned a lot from the experience of being a part of the modern round robin. It was fun to challenge myself with the fabrics and themes people sent with their quilts. Some of the quilts that I worked on are here on my blog (search modern round robin).
